2012 Speaker Danilo Balducci’s amazing new work

In 2012 Italian photojournalist Danilo Balducci showed his early work at The Eye Festival taken in the Balkans. Over the past 4 years the landscape has changed to trouble and despair as the Balkan route is used by Syrian refugees trying to flee to Europe. Danilo has continued to work in the area and produced some of the most powerful and compassionate photographs. He does not work for awards, his work is of a true photojournalist to show, educate and raise awareness of these issues but we feel these images will live forever as a document of the time and …

Amazing opportunity thanks to National Library of Wales

Massive thanks to The National Library of Wales and Curator Wil Troughton for allowing a limited number to visit the National Library during The Eye Festival 2016 to look at original historical prints such as the Edward Curtis portrait of North American Indian Life taken in 1911. We will post a list of prints to be shown and a limited number will be allowed to visit so book a place now

With great pride we are happy to announce that world renowned photographer Nick Danziger will not only be talking about his work at The Eye 2016 but will also show his new Revisited exhibition. The work explores whether the Millennium Development Goals have succeeded in giving families a better life. For 10 years, across 8 countries on 4 continents Danziger worked among individuals and families reflecting on what has changed for those that have least. Work from 37 leading photographers document aspects of the privileged global wealth in the exhibition Privilege in a Time of Global Inequality

Former Eye Exhibitor Wins Prestigious Award

The Eye 2012 Exhibitor Italian Danilo Balducci has won the prestigious FIIPA 2016 ( FIOS International Photography Awards ) for his reportage ‘ Another Step and You’re Elsewhere ‘ following the migrant crisis from Lesvos Island, Greece, The Balkans and Calais. Thanks to Danilo for allowing us to show this amazing work.

The Eye Director Glenn Edwards spoke with photography legend Ian Berry of Magnum for Ffoton Wales ( www.ffoton.wales ) on his visit to Cardiff for a lecture at Cardiff School of Journalism organized by The Nick Lewis Memorial Trust ( nicklewistrust.co.uk ).
