We’ve been delighted with the response thus far to Ffoton Wales #urbanwales project where they invited photographers from across Wales to get out of their usual photographic comfort zone and capture their interpretation of the theme! As of this evening, over 380 images have been tagged on Instagram and Flickr combined after just a couple of weeks.
So we’re VERY excited to announce that Ffoton Wales will be teaming up with The EYE International Photography Festival, taking place over 3 days in Aberystwyth the weekend of 30th September to 2nd October. The Eye has very kindly agreed to offer one free event ticket (worth £65!) to a selected #urbanwales tagged image each month April through August 2016! That’s 6 free tickets up for grabs! Images submitted on Instagram and Flickr up to the 20th of each month will judged by Ffoton, The Eye and a guest photographer, and the winner announced on The Eye website the evening of the 1st of the following month, and then added to the Urban Wales page on the Ffoton website.
